Free CPR lessons
from Toronto EMS

Toronto EMS, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and the Inter-divisional Committee on Priority Neighbourhoods joined forces to conduct free CPR training sessions in two of Toronto's neighbourhoods on Saturday July 19, 2008. At this event, area youth and their families had the opportunity to learn CPR, Public Access Defibrillation and how to assist the Emergency Medical Services in saving a life.

Learn how to save a life.

Approximately 40,000 Canadians suffer cardiac arrest every year. 80% take place at home. Less than 5% survive. However, if CPR is performed in the first few minutes, it can increase the odds of survival and recovery by 30% or more.

The two events were held at:

Mid-Scarborough Community Centre
2467 Eglinton Ave. East, Toronto
Saturday July 19, 2008, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Oakdale Community Centre
350 Grandravine Drive, Toronto
Saturday July 19, 2008, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
