Province agrees pay full 50% share of EMS funding

On December 15, 2006 the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care announced that by 2008 the province would begin paying a full 50 percent of the cost of Land Ambulance service in Ontario. Toronto EMS will receive its full 50% funding in 2007 which amounts to a 11.6 million dollar increase from the Province. Hide section

During the week of November 13th, 2006, manufacturers and suppliers of windows and doors came together at the Metro Toronto Convention centre to showcase their products. For the last five years, Toronto EMS has been a key participant at Windoor, promoting window and balcony safety. Community paramedicine coordinator Dean Shaddock organized the event, and this year, the EMS Chiefs of Canada held their fall session at the centre, integrating marathon meeting sessions with an appearance at the show, promoting window and balcony safety across North America.
